El Paso Clean Energy wants more solar and more energy efficiency to be present in El Paso and Las Cruces homes. EPCE was founded with the intent to provide accurate and unbiased information about solar.
We want to point you away from the shoddy contractors that give solar a bad name. We want you to know — without having to listen to a salesperson’s BS — if solar is a good choice for you and your home.
We want to educate you on how much of the price of your solar system can go towards massive commissions and overbearing financing costs since both commissions and financing costs are completely hidden from the consumer.
Why are we doing this? Too many people are getting solar that shouldn’t; and too many people going solar are finding out their sales rep overpromised and their solar installer underdelivered.
Solar is an amazing investment, but it is NOT for everybody, nor is there a one-size-fits-all litmus test for determining if solar is the right answer for you.

Who is El Paso Clean Energy?
My name is Jim Schwarzbach, and I’ve been involved in the solar industry in the El Paso/Las Cruces area since 2015. I’ve been a salesperson, a sales manager, a sales director. I probably know more about the sales side of solar than 99% of the people in the industry and I created El Paso Clean Energy because I am tired of the opaqueness, misinformation, and outright lies that sales people use.
I want El Paso Clean Energy to be a resource for anyone who is considering solar, and a resource for people who already have solar.
